3 cups basmati rice, soaked in water for one hour
12 cups whole milk
1 can condensed milk
2 teaspoons cardamom
pinch of saffron
golden raisins
toasted almonds
- Cook whole milk in a large saucepan over medium heat for 10-15 minutes
- Add rice, simmer over medium heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally
- Add 1 teaspoon cardamon and mix well.
- Continue simmering for another 20 minutes until desired consistency.
- Add 3/4 cans of condensed milk and stir. Add remaining teaspoon of cardamon.
- Garnish with raisins and almonds and serve.
